The 6.7L high-output Power Stroke V8 turbo diesel is standard on the F-450 and available on the F-250 and F-350, and brings 500 horsepower and a massive 1,200 pound-feet of torque. Both engines utilize a ten-speed automatic transmission, which features several driving modes, including normal, slippery, tow/haul, and eco modes.
The 7.3L V8 tows up to a maximum of 22,000 pounds conventionally, and up to 22,500 pounds with a fifth-wheel/gooseneck configuration. An F-450 powered by the 6.7L high-output Power Stroke V8 turbo diesel engine is capable of towing 30,000 pounds conventionally or up to 40,000 pounds while configured for fifth-wheel/gooseneck towing. Dual rear wheel wheels (DRW) are standard on the F-450 and available on the F-350, and enhance towing capabilities.
